Apple for fevers....

 
Apple prevents fevers so when one feels feverish and weak -consuming an apple will prevent the fever and makes one strong

Tulsi tea for fevers and breathing problems



10 mg of Tulasi leaves powder ( or fresh leaves) is boiled in a glass of water with a pinch of pepper powder and a piece of ginger and 2 small elaichis (Cardamom).
Sugar /Mishri /milk may be added.
This tea may be taken twice a day . It reduces fevers,cough and colds,increases hunger and the digestion power .This is especially beneficial for children during winters and rainy season when such problems are common.

Tips:

Avoiding milk during fevers

It is best for adults to avoid drinking milk when one has fever


For regular fevers

Chew 6 fresh leaves of tulasi with peppercorns and mishri.the fever will disappear in a few days never to come back again

A simple tip for burning sensation while passing urine

Heat a glass of milk and cool it -add a spoon of rock candy sugar/mishri and a little ghee.Drink this once a day.The burning sensation in the urine will remarkably reduce.Do not try this if you have fever

Tender neem leaves for year round health

Eating 7 tender Neem leaves with 2 peppercorns/Kalimirch Miriyalu/mizhagu for 20 days after Holi keeps one free from all diseases and fever for an entire year

Fevers due to indigestion

If a person is suffering from frequent fevers due to indigestion they can try eating 2-3 gm of ginger pieces with a few drops of lemon juice before lunch or dinner.This aids in the complete digestion of food thus preventing fevers

A simple help from Ayurveda for Malaria

Momordica charantia or the Bitter gourd * plant leaves are very useful in alleviating the symptoms of Malaria.
3-4 leaves of the plant are washed - pounded with 3 peppercorns and given to the person suffering from fever and chills .The juice of the leaves is applied on the body.This will reduce the symptoms of the mosquito-borne Malaria and helps in healing the person faster.
